The 2025 Major League Baseball All-Star Game roster has been revealed.
The American League All-Stars have formed their roster with Gleyber Torres (Detroit, second base), Riley Greene (Detroit, left field), Aaron Judge (Yankees, right field), Cal Raleigh (Seattle, catcher), Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (Toronto, first base), Ryan O'Hearn (Baltimore, designated hitter), Junior Caminero (Tampa Bay, third base), Javier Baez (Detroit, center field), and Jacob Wilson (Athletics, shortstop) for the 2025 Major League Baseball All-Star Game to be held on the 16th (Korea time) at Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia.
The American League All-Star lineup features power hitters representing Major League Baseball. This includes Judge, who is considered one of the greatest right-handed hitters of all time, Raleigh, who is vying for the home run king among catchers after winning the Home Run Derby on the 15th, and Caminero, an emerging star at third base who finished second in the Home Run Derby.
The starting pitcher for the American League All-Stars will be Tarik Skubal (Detroit). Skubal has recorded 10 wins and 3 losses with a 2.23 earned run average over 19 games (121 innings) this season. He achieved the Triple Crown last year and won the American League Cy Young Award. He is currently tied for second in wins, second in earned run average, and second in strikeouts (153) this year.
The National League All-Stars have lined up Shohei Ohtani (Dodgers, designated hitter), Ronald Acuña Jr. (Atlanta, left field), Ketel Marte (Arizona, second base), Freddie Freeman (Dodgers, first base), Manny Machado (San Diego, third base), Will Smith (Dodgers, catcher), Kyle Tucker (Cubs, right field), Francisco Lindor (Mets, shortstop), and Pete Crow-Armstrong (Cubs, center field).
The Dodgers, leading the National League with a strong lineup this year (58 wins, 39 losses, .598 winning percentage), have three players—Ohtani, Freeman, and Smith—named in the starting lineup. Atlanta, hosting the All-Star Game at home, has Acuña Jr. as the only player included in the starting lineup. Ohtani, participating in his fifth All-Star Game, has been a designated hitter for the past two years, but he has returned to the leadoff spot in this year's All-Star Game for the first time in three years.
The starting pitcher for the National League All-Stars will be Paul Skens, who won the National League Rookie of the Year award last year. Skens has recorded 4 wins and 8 losses with a 2.01 earned run average over 20 games (121 innings) this season. Despite not accumulating many wins due to the team's poor performance, he currently leads the National League in earned run average and ranks fourth in strikeouts.
