The Korea Women's Basketball League (WKBL) will host the "2025 BNK Financial Park Shin-ja Cup" at Busan Sajik Indoor Gymnasium from Aug. 30 to Sept. 7.
The Park Shin-ja Cup, which began its first tournament in 2015, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and has expanded to become an international tournament from 2023, with club teams from Asian countries such as Japan and Taiwan consistently participating. This year's tournament will feature clubs from European countries, including Spain and Hungary, for the first time.
In Korea, six WKBL clubs will participate, and Casa de Montt Zaragoza, the runner-up of the Spanish women's basketball first division playoff for the 2024-2025 season, will take part. From Hungary, DVTK Hun-Terem, winner of the 2025 Hungarian Cup, will compete, and from Japan, Fujitsu Red Wave, the integrated champion of the W League for the 2024-2025 season and the defending champion of the Park Shin-ja Cup, along with Denso Iris, the runner-up of the W League, will visit Busan.
This tournament will proceed through group qualifiers of Pools A and B, with the top two teams from each pool competing in the semifinals on Sept. 6 (Sat) and the finals on Sept. 7 (Sun). The winner will receive a prize of 15 million won, and the runner-up team will receive 10 million won.
