Chungbuk Cheongju FC held a 'School Attack' program on the 15th at Geumcheon Middle School, located in the Sangdang District of Cheongju, with about 300 third-grade students. The players visited the school to communicate with the students while enjoying various recreational activities together.
This School Attack was planned as the second program this year, following the event at Wonpyeong Middle School in May, to strengthen communication with local youth and convey healthy energy. Six players from Chungbuk Cheongju, including Lee Chang-hoon, Ji Eon-hak, Jeong Jin-wook, Song Chang-seok, Lee Kang-han, and Moon Seung-min, participated in the event, and the club's announcer Yang Jeong-woo served as the MC, creating a lively atmosphere.
Students and players created unforgettable memories together, starting with warm-up ice-breaking games followed by rock-paper-scissors, cooperative jump rope, and balloon relays. During the event, various prizes, including signed uniforms, were also distributed, and after the event, a signing session and group photo took place, adding to the excitement.
Lee Chang-hoon from Chungbuk Cheongju, who participated in the School Attack that day, said, "At first, I thought the students were a bit hesitant, but I quickly felt we became one together." He noted, "Most importantly, I received great energy from seeing the students laughing and running. I hope there will be more opportunities like this in the future."
Chungbuk Cheongju hopes that the valuable connections made through this School Attack at Geumcheon Middle School will lead to a cheering culture where students and local fans can support the team together.
Meanwhile, Chungbuk Cheongju will play its first home game under new head coach Kim Gil-sik against Cheonan City FC at Cheongju Sports Complex on the 20th.
