Kim Min-jae (29, Bayern Munich) is being linked with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
French media outlet 'Sport' reported on the 14th (Korea time), citing 'Foot Mercato,' that 'Louis Campos, the Director General of PSG, met with Kim Min-jae's agent in Paris this week to discuss the possibility of a transfer. While no official proposal has been made yet, PSG aims to understand the player's intentions and transfer conditions.'
It added, 'Bayern is not opposed to the transfer of Kim Min-jae itself, but they have no intention of letting the player go for a ridiculous price. Bayern is said to be seeking a transfer fee of about 50 million euros (approximately 80.5 billion won).'
Earlier, on the 8th, Italian media outlet 'Napoli Today' also reported that 'Kim Min-jae may reunite with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia at PSG.' Kvaratskhelia is a former teammate of Kim Min-jae from their time at Napoli.
Kim Min-jae led Napoli to the Serie A championship in the 2022-2023 season, marking the team’s first title in 33 years. He transferred to Bayern Munich after the season ended. Recently, Kim Min-jae's position at Bayern has been unstable. Despite being a starter for most of the last season even with an Achilles injury, critical mistakes in key moments have drawn criticism, placing him on the sale list.
Florian Plettenberg, a reporter for 'Sky Sports,' said, 'Bayern plans to allow Kim Min-jae's transfer if a concrete offer comes in.' German media outlet 'Merkur' also reported, 'Bayern has set the transfer fee at 50 million euros (approximately 80 billion won). While no official proposal has been made yet, the possibility of remaining cannot be ruled out if no offer comes in.'
Many teams are interested in Kim Min-jae. Recently, it was reported that the prestigious Turkish club Galatasaray inquired about his loan to Bayern.
German media outlet 'TZ' reported on the 13th that 'Galatasaray has officially proposed a loan for Kim Min-jae. It is not yet known whether a complete transfer option is included.'
Barcelona is also showing interest. 'Bavarian Football' reported on the 11th that 'The Spanish club Barcelona has put both Kim Min-jae and Dayot Upamecano on its watch list.' Barcelona seeks to strengthen its defense but faces challenges in making active moves due to financial issues and player registration.
