The Lao Premier League team Champasak Abnil FC has entered into an official sponsorship agreement with QMIT, a company that develops and operates the fitness management application PLCO. This agreement was signed on July 14, 2025, and PLCO has been registered as the first official sponsor of Champasak Abnil FC since its founding.
This partnership is significant in that it goes beyond mere logo exposure or promotion, as it provides practical assistance in strengthening the team's capabilities by introducing sports technology on the ground.
PLCO is a mobile-based platform that can manage players' fitness and performance in real time, and it is a solution already used in various sports settings.
Under this agreement, QMIT will provide the PLCO app free of charge to the entire team, along with training materials and consulting to support its practical use in training and game environments. Additionally, Champasak Abnil FC has been designated as a representative case team for the use of PLCO in Laos, and will play a central role in the future spread of sports tech in Lao soccer.
The team will manage key physical data, such as sleep, heart rate, fatigue level, and recovery index through PLCO, and based on this, tailored physical programs, including training intensity adjustments and recovery routine optimization, will be applied. The club expects to establish a long-term athlete fitness management system and improve performance through this system.
Champasak Abnil FC representative Lee Dong-jun said, "The agreement with PLCO is the club's first official sponsorship in history, and it has special significance in that it allows for practical technological cooperation beyond mere sponsorship." He added, "As a young club, it will provide an opportunity for fans to understand the physical data of our players in the future and serve as initial data for the best 11 chosen by fans, making it comprehensible to both experts and fans."
QMIT representative Lee Sang-ki noted, "I always thought that the challenge of Korean sports tech entering the world is an important part, and this partnership with Champasak Abnil FC will serve as an important opportunity to open up the horizons of PLCO's global challenges."
