The professional baseball SSG Landers began its final three-game series of the first half on a positive note with a victory.
SSG won 7-1 against the KT Wiz in the '2025 Shinhan Bank SOL Bank KBO League' game held at Incheon SSG Landers Field on the 8th.
Starting pitcher Kim Kwang-hyun threw well, going 5 innings with 2 hits, 2 walks, 3 strikeouts, and 1 run allowed, but unfortunately, he could not record the win. The bullpen, consisting of Noh Kyung-eun (1 inning, no runs) - Kim Min (1 inning, no runs) - Lee Ro-un (1 inning, no runs) - Choi Min-jun (1 inning, no runs), maintained a shutout to secure the team victory.

In the top of the 1st inning, with 1 out, Kim Min-hyuk reached base due to a fielding error by the pitcher. In the 3rd inning, SSG's lead-off hitter Eredia reached base with a hit. However, Choi Jung was caught on a pop fly to right field, and with two outs and a runner on 2nd after Han Yoo-seom's ground out, Ko Myung-jun was also caught on a pop fly to right field, failing to capitalize on the opportunity.
In the top of the 4th, with 2 outs, Rojas hit a double, quickly getting into scoring position, and Kim Sang-su hit a 1-RBI single, tying the game at 1-1. Bae Jeong-dae was caught on a ground ball to the second baseman, failing to capitalize on the chance to take the lead.
In the bottom of the 6th inning, Choi Jung hit a single leading off. Han Yoo-seom then hit a two-run home run, regaining the lead. Ko Myung-jun grounded out to the third baseman, while Park Sung-han drew a walk to successfully reach base again, but Choi Jun-woo and Jung Jun-jae were both silenced.
In the 7th inning, with 1 out, SSG capitalized on back-to-back hits by Choi Ji-hoon and Eredia and a wild pitch to create a scoring chance with 1 out and runners on 2nd and 3rd. Choi Jung hit a ground out with an RBI, adding another run. Han Yoo-seom grounded out to the second baseman.

In a no-out situation with runners on 1st and 2nd following Park Sung-han's walk, Choi Jun-woo also reached base on a hit by pitch, creating a no-out bases loaded opportunity. Jung Jun-jae struck out, but Jo Hyung-woo contributed an RBI sacrifice fly, adding another run. Choi Ji-hoon drew a walk, connecting for a bases loaded scenario again, and Eredia hit a 2-RBI single, solidifying the lead. Choi Jung was caught on a pop fly to left field. In the top of the 9th inning, the final defense was handled by Choi Min-jun, who closed it out with a three-up, three-down.
