Suwon FC has signed defender Lee Si-young, who played for FC Seoul. Lee Si-young's ability to cover both left and right flank defense is expected to simultaneously complement both offensive and defensive strategies. His jersey number is 72.
Lee Si-young made his professional debut with Seongnam FC in 2018 and has since played for Gwangju, Seoul E-Land, FC Seoul, and Suwon Samsung, recording a total of 128 matches in the K League (1 goal, 11 assists). He contributed to winning a gold medal at the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games with U-23 national team coach Kim Eung-jung.
Suwon FC expects to enhance its competitiveness on both flanks and increase tactical flexibility through Lee Si-young's addition. In particular, Lee is evaluated as a valuable asset who fits well into aggressive tactics, thanks to his tenacious play and broad activity range.
Lee Si-young said, "I want to quickly adapt to the team and help as the competition for rankings becomes fiercer in the future," adding, "I will do my best to repay the fans' support."
