The Director General of Bayern Munich has put an end to speculation regarding Kim Min-jae (29, Munich)’s transfer.
Christian Falk from 'The Daily Briefing' reported, "Kim Min-jae is connected with Liverpool and Manchester United and is waiting for specific offers. Currently, there are no specific offers for Kim Min-jae. Bayern Munich is already considering Thomas Araújo as a successor to Kim Min-jae. If a suitable offer comes in, there is a high possibility of concluding negotiations."
Bayern Munich acquired Kim Min-jae from Napoli for 50 million euros (approximately 80.3 billion won) in 2023. Bayern Munich plans to lower his transfer fee to 35 million euros (approximately 56.2 billion won) to offload Kim Min-jae. Nonetheless, there have been no formal offers requesting Kim Min-jae.
Bayern Munich plans to reinforce their depth by acquiring a new defender with the money from selling Kim Min-jae. Kim Min-jae needs to transfer quickly to create a larger picture. Ultimately, Director General Max Eberl has personally stepped in.
German 'Bild' published an interview with Director General Max Eberl. He did not hide the fact that he is pushing for Kim Min-jae's transfer.
Director General Eberl stated, "Both Kim Min-jae and João Palhinha will be with us until the end of the Club World Cup. Until the Club World Cup, they will be in our squad. After that, I will see how the transfer market unfolds," clearly indicating the intention to offload.
'Bild' reports that Palhinha is eager to stay at Bayern Munich. In contrast, Kim Min-jae is said to have firmly decided to leave Bayern Munich. Kim Min-jae is attracting interest not only from Premier League teams Liverpool and Manchester United but also from AC Milan.
With the public statements made by Director General Eberl, the likelihood that teams wanting Kim Min-jae will submit formal offers after the conclusion of the Club World Cup has increased. A concrete picture of Kim Min-jae's transfer has begun to emerge.
