In the men's division, KB Insurance's Hwang Tae-yeong topped the pay scale with a total of 1.2 billion won (annual salary of 900 million won and an option of 300 million won). Korean Air’s Han Seon followed with a total compensation of 1.08 billion won (annual salary of 750 million won and an option of 330 million won).
Im Seong-jin, who obtained a free agent status and moved to KB Insurance, ranks third with a total of 850 million won (annual salary of 650 million won and an option of 200 million won). Korean Air's Jeong Ji-seok follows in fourth place with a total compensation of 820 million won (annual salary of 600 million won and an option of 220 million won). Hyundai Capital's Heo Su-bong (annual salary of 800 million won) and KB Insurance's Na Gyeong-bok (annual salary of 600 million won and an option of 200 million won) are tied for fifth place with a total of 800 million won.
In the women's division, Hyundai E&C's Yang Hyo-jin (annual salary of 500 million won and an option of 300 million won) and Korea Expressway Corporation's Kang So-hwi (annual salary of 500 million won and an option of 300 million won) have both become the salary queens at 800 million won. Following them, Pepper Savings Bank's Park Jeong-ah ranks third with a total of 775 million won (annual salary of 475 million won and an option of 300 million won). In the women's division, a total of 104 players from seven teams (Heungkuk Life: 18 players, Jeonggwanjang: 15 players, Hyundai E&C: 14 players, IBK Industrial Bank: 15 players, Korea Expressway Corporation: 13 players, GS Caltex: 15 players, Pepper Savings Bank: 14 players) have registered, with the average compensation for the women's division being 163 million won (average pay for the 24-25 season women's division: 161 million won).
For the 25-26 season, the men’s division will have a salary cap of 4.01 billion won and an option cap of 1.6 billion won, leading to a total of 5.61 billion won in compensation, while the women’s division will have a salary cap of 2.1 billion won, an option cap of 600 million won, and a win bonus of 300 million won, totaling 3 billion won in compensation.
Meanwhile, a total of 28 players, including 12 from the men’s division and 16 from the women’s division, have registered as free agents. Free agents can sign contracts with any team until the end of the third round of the regular season from the date of public announcement.
