Tottenham Hotspur prospect Yang Min-hyeok (19) may have a chance to leap forward under new Tottenham manager Thomas Frank, according to local expectations.

The British media 'London World' reported on the 28th (Korea time) that "Frank is a coach with strengths in developing young wingers. This could serve as a positive signal for Yang Min-hyeok. Attention needs to be paid to his development in the upcoming season. Coach Frank can potentially draw out Yang Min-hyeok's potential."

Yang Min-hyeok signed with Tottenham in July of last year. After officially registering as a player in January 2025, he was loaned to Queens Park Rangers (QPR), which is in the English Championship (second division), to gain practical experience.

He made his debut on January 29, shortly after transferring to QPR, and quickly adapted to the team. He secured a position as a starting forward, appearing in a total of 14 matches and recording 2 goals and 1 assist. He started in 8 of these matches.

His strengths include speed and confident dribbling. Indeed, QPR coach Marti SiFuentes also highly appreciated his growth, stating, "Yang Min-hyeok is a player with a great attitude. He has a strong desire to learn and has threatening speed and dribbling ability."

After finishing the season, Yang Min-hyeok returned to Tottenham. A tough competition awaits him. He must compete with a forward lineup that includes Son Heung-min, Wilson Odobert, Mikey Moore, Dejan Kulusevski, Richarlison, and Brennan Johnson. He must survive the fierce competition for a starting spot to participate in the first team.

Nevertheless, local media highly evaluate Yang Min-hyeok's potential. 'London World' predicted that "Coach Frank is the coach who developed Kieran Lewis-Potter at Brentford. Lewis-Potter has grown into a resource capable of playing various positions. Yang Min-hyeok can also develop into a talent responsible for Tottenham's future under Coach Frank."

Coach Frank is regarded as a coach who gives opportunities to young players and is capable of drawing out their potential. Whether his coaching philosophy can give Yang Min-hyeok wings remains to be seen and is expected to be another highlight in Tottenham's new season.
