Logan Allen, a foreign pitcher for the NC Dinos in professional baseball, noted that one of the keys to tying up the Doosan Bears lineup for 8 innings with just 1 run was the shutting down of lead-off hitter Jung Soo-bin.

On the 28th, Logan made a start in the 8th match of the season against the Doosan Bears at Changwon NC Park in the 2025 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League, pitching 8 innings with 3 hits allowed, 1 walk, 8 strikeouts, and 1 unearned run, achieving his 5th win of the season (7 losses) with a remarkable performance of 104 pitches. It was a valuable effort that led the team to a 3-1 victory.

Logan surpassed his previous personal best of 7 innings (3 times) to set a new record for most innings pitched in a season. The only run he allowed came from a sacrifice fly hit by Jake Cave during a crisis caused by 2 fielding errors in the 6th inning, and the only scoring threat the Doosan lineup posed was in the 6th inning, which was both their first and last. Doosan starter Jack Logg pitched 7 innings, allowing 6 hits (1 home run), 1 walk, striking out 4, and giving up 1 run on 97 pitches, finishing his outing with the game tied at 1-1 before the lineup scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 8th, and closer Ryu Jin-wook closed it out cleanly in the 9th.

After the game, Logan expressed, "I'm really happy we won. Jack Logg pitched well for 7 innings, and it was a situation where we both only allowed 1 run, so I’m grateful our hitters worked hard. I’m so proud of them. I'm really happy that my performance contributed to the team's victory," while smiling brightly.

Logan unintentionally allowed his first run due to 2 fielding errors in the 6th inning. He shared his special mental management method as well. Logan explained, "In the end, I think (errors) are part of baseball. I focused on continuing to pitch and decided not to allow any more runs. What's passed is past, and I cleared my mindset for the next pitching."

While he tied the Doosan lineup to 1 run over 8 innings, the process was not without its challenges. Among them, facing lead-off hitter Jung Soo-bin was the most difficult.

Logan said, "The most challenging batter was Jung Soo-bin. I've faced him quite a bit, but every time we meet, I have to reorganize my strategy and change the game plan. It might be a compliment to the batter, but in the U.S., Jung Soo-bin is considered an annoying style. He has that much good contact. Today, I think it worked out well for me to change my pitch combinations against him in every at-bat." Logan managed to keep Jung Soo-bin hitless, with 0 hits in 4 at-bats.

Having transformed from a foreign player struggling with bad luck early in the season to a valuable player recording 3 wins and 1 loss with an earned run average of 1.91 in June, Logan said, "It's true that I had no luck in the early part of the season, and while it feels good to be a winning pitcher, the most important thing is the team's victory. Nowadays, I feel good every time I start and the team wins. The most important thing is for the team to win."

Logan also expressed his respect for Manager Lee Ho-jun during the interview. He said, "The manager always checks on my health and maintains a good relationship. He is a player who left a legacy for the Dinos and has a great batting record. It’s an honor to play on a team that he leads."
