The ‘Mitte boy’ Mok Ji-hoon (NC Dinos) is attracting attention for receiving Mitte as a gift for his debut win.
An official from the NC Dinos of the Korea Professional Baseball said on the 29th, ahead of the home game against the Doosan Bears at Changwon NC Park, ‘We sent a special gift from Dongseo Foods to commemorate Mok Ji-hoon's first win in professional baseball.’
Mok Ji-hoon, a right-handed pitcher in his third year, who was selected 34th overall in the 4th round by NC in the 2023 rookie draft after graduating from Shin-il High School, made his debut win on May 7 by starting against the Suwon KT Wiz, pitching 5 innings, allowing 3 hits (1 home run), issuing no walks, striking out 5, and giving up 1 run.
Mok Ji-hoon, in the first grade of elementary school in 2011, shot a commercial for chocolate latte ‘Mitte’ with coach Kim Sung-keun, gaining significant attention at the time of his professional selection. He filmed the advertisement at the Suwon stadium, and ironically, his debut win came in Suwon. An NC official noted, ‘Dongseo Foods remembered that connection and sent a supportive gift.’
After receiving the special first win gift, Mok Ji-hoon expressed, ‘This meaningful victory has become an even more special moment with a warm sentiment added. I will strive to show more sweet victories to our fans in the future.’
