Tottenham is looking for a player to replace legend Son Heung-min (33, Tottenham).
Yahoo Sports reported on the 28th that "Manchester City removed Jack Grealish from the Club World Cup roster as part of their squad organization."
Tottenham is a strong candidate for the acquisition. Tottenham intends to let go of Son Heung-min and recruit Grealish as his replacement. Grealish has seen his form drastically decline since last season, as he only started in 7 Premier League matches. He fell completely out of contention with 32 appearances throughout the season. Manager Pep Guardiola has no intention of relying on him as a key player.
Manager Thomas Tuchel has warned Grealish that "if you want to play for the England national team, you need to change teams" ahead of the North and Central American World Cup. As a result, the possibility of Grealish transferring to Tottenham, where he can secure playing time, is high.
Yahoo Sports explained that "the most likely candidate for Grealish's transfer is Tottenham. If Son Heung-min transfers, Tottenham will need a winger. Grealish also needs a stable team to secure playing time to compete in the North and Central American World Cup."
In addition to Tottenham, many teams including Napoli, Fenerbahçe, West Ham, Everton, and Newcastle are interested in Grealish. Although he is currently out of form, his skills shown during his prime were exceptional.
If Grealish were to go to Tottenham or Napoli, it could have a ripple effect on the status of Son Heung-min and Lee Kang-in.
