Doosan Bears acting manager Jo Sung-hwan conveyed his apology after gathering the pitching staff that contributed to the previous day's comeback loss.

Doosan Bears suffered a painful 9-10 comeback loss against the NC Dinos in an away game at Changwon NC Park on the 27th.

After starter Kwon Bin struggled with 7 earned runs over 5⅓ innings, the lineup managed to lead 9-7 heading into the bottom of the eighth. However, Lee Young-ha gave successive walks to lead-off hitters Cheon Jae-hwan and Park Min-woo, handing the baton to Kim Tae-kyun, who, like the trusted pitcher he was, also walked Matt Davidson, allowing all three base runners to score. First baseman Kang Seung-ho's catch error allowed third base runner Cheon Jae-hwan to touch home plate, and Kim Tae-kyun allowed a two-RBI go-ahead hit to Ahn Joong-yeol.

Doosan's Jo Sung-hwan stated that he called a meeting with the pitching staff on the 28th before the game to lift the team's stagnant atmosphere. Meeting with reporters, acting manager Jo Sung-hwan said, "These days, the games are competitive and it's a tough situation. I told the pitchers that I'm sorry for repeatedly putting them in difficult situations. I also instructed them to pitch without regrets. I felt a strong sense of regret towards the pitchers."

Unwavering trust was also revealed towards closer Kim Tae-kyun, who became the losing pitcher with 1 inning, 1 hit, 1 walk, 1 strikeout, and 1 earned run (unearned). Acting manager Jo Sung-hwan noted, "Kim Tae-kyun has been getting more line drives on low pitches this season, so we've been working on raising his pitch location a bit. The high zone has a high swing-and-miss rate, so we've made some changes, but I think he might be a little shaken by that. Still, I’m not worried. If there’s a long gap between appearances or if he goes too long in one outing, his conditioning will be difficult to manage. I have no doubts about Kim Tae-kyun."

Meanwhile, Doosan's starting lineup against NC's starter Logan Allen included Jung Soo-bin (center fielder), Lee Yoo-chan (shortstop), Jake Cave (right fielder), Yang Eui-ji (designated hitter), Park Joon-soon (third baseman), Oh Myung-jin (second baseman), Ryu Hyun-jun (catcher), Kang Seung-ho (first baseman), and Kim Min-seok (left fielder). The starting pitcher is Jack Logg.

For stamina management, second-year rookie Ryu Hyun-jun donned the starting catcher’s mask. Acting manager Jo Sung-hwan expressed, "I’m curious to see how Ryu Hyun-jun will handle Jack Logg's flamboyant pitches today. Before going down to the Futures League, I told him to prepare for starting duty when he comes back up next. Today, that opportunity has arrived."
