Liverpool has welcomed Milos Kerkez (22) into the fold.

Liverpool announced on the 26th (Korean time) through the club's official website, "We have signed left-back Milos Kerkez from AFC Bournemouth." After completing a medical test at the AXA Training Centre of Premier League champion Liverpool, Kerkez signed a long-term contract.

Thus, Kerkez became the third signing revealed by Liverpool this summer, following the acquisition of Florian Wirtz last week.

Kerkez expressed his feelings in an interview with Liverpool's official channel, saying, "I am really happy and honored. I am so excited to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world and the best club in England." He added, "I want to come back and put on my training kit to start preparing for the season after spending a few days with my family in my hometown."

Kerkez perfectly adapted to the Premier League stage during his two seasons with Bournemouth, making 74 appearances and recording 2 goals and 8 assists. He was identified as a solution to Liverpool's quest to strengthen their flanks, receiving praise for his forward play, crossing ability, and work rate.

Born in 2003, he began his professional career at ETO FC Győr in Hungary before joining AC Milan in 2021. In January 2022, he transferred to AZ Alkmaar in the Netherlands' Eredivisie, where he played 57 matches over one and a half years, gaining experience on the European stage.

His national team career is also impressive. He made his international debut in a UEFA Nations League match against Germany in September 2022 and has since appeared in 23 matches for the Hungary national team.

His potential has already garnered attention across Europe. Kerkez has been named a finalist for the 'Golden Boy' award for the best under-21 player in Europe in 2023 and was also selected as a candidate for the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) Young Player of the Year award for the 2024-2025 season.

Kerkez sent a message to fans as well. He stated, "I am really grateful for the great affection you have shown me even before the official announcement. I will give my all for the most passionate fans in the world. I want to lift trophies, and I also have a strong desire to score at Anfield. I want to hear that cheer in person. Let's meet soon."

Kerkez's official jersey number at Liverpool will be announced later.
