Jesse Lingard (33, FC Seoul) has once again proven to be a fan of 'Squid Game.'

Lingard posted two photos on his social media (SNS) on the 27th (Korea time) at 4 p.m., coinciding with the release time of the popular Netflix series 'Squid Game Season 3,' which was released simultaneously worldwide.

In the first photo, an unidentified figure dressed in the 'Squid Game' uniform and mask is facing a TV screen displaying the title screen of 'Squid Game 3.' In the second photo, a person wearing a pink uniform and a black mask is casually watching TV while stretching out their legs on a sofa.

Both photos appear to have been taken by Lingard himself at a residence overlooking the Han River. Lingard had previously revealed his fandom for 'Squid Game' by posting a photo of the main character, Lee Jung-jae, and a squid emoji when he was playing for Manchester United in 2021.

Notably, in the K League 1 2025 Round 2 match against FC Anyang, which he won 2-1, Lingard caught attention by mimicking Lee Jung-jae's 'ice' move from 'Squid Game' after scoring the first goal.

Lingard, who has consistently expressed his fondness for 'Squid Game' both inside and outside the stadium, has been wearing a Seoul jersey since February 2024. With the release of the final season, Season 3, it seems that Lingard will fall back in love with Korean drama.
