"The future of the club is bright with fans like these."

Manchester United on the 26th (Korea time) released an interview with Christian Eriksen through the club's official website. Eriksen, who officially announced his departure from the club on the 9th, said, "I have perfectly completed my three years at Man U."

Eriksen, who played with Son Heung-min during his time at Tottenham Hotspur, is referred to as the 'hero of the miracle' in the world of football. In June 2021, during the European Championship (Euro) group stage match against Finland, he collapsed on the pitch due to a heart issue and faced a life-threatening situation. He subsequently underwent an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) procedure, and his contract with Inter Milan was terminated due to health issues. Many were skeptical about his chances of extending his career.

He did not give up. Dreaming of a comeback, Eriksen signed a short-term contract with Brentford in January 2022 and made his official return to the pitch as a substitute in the match against Newcastle United in February. His subsequent journey was truly a drama. He was included again in the Denmark national team roster and, just two minutes after being substituted in the A-match against the Netherlands in March, he scored, showcasing his well-being.

Proving his skills, he joined Manchester United in the summer of 2022 after being called by head coach Erik ten Hag. Utilizing his unique wide vision and accurate kicking ability, he played a key role in the midfield and had an impressive season in the 2022-2023 season, appearing in a total of 44 official matches and recording 2 goals and 10 assists.

In the 2024-2025 season, Eriksen appeared in 35 official matches, recording 5 goals and 6 assists, showcasing his solid performance. He evaluated, "Considering that the season has ended, I believe it was an appropriate conclusion. I have perfectly completed my three years at Man U."

He said, "It was special. It was really nice to be together with goals and victories, seeing everyone smiling. There were many good memories, special matches, and special people I met here. I won two trophies and played in several finals in between."

Eriksen stated, "I had a really enjoyable time and express my deep gratitude to the club, fans, and teammates. From day one at Man U, I felt like I was at another home. Myself and my whole family did. Now I'm leaving Man U, but it will remain a special place in my heart."

He also spoke about the fans. He shared, "Our fans have supported me in every situation while I played for Man U. They always cheered, no matter what the situation was." He noted, "Meeting these fans is a great fortune. The players know that. A player always plays for the fans."

Finally, Eriksen added, "As Coach Amorim said, I hope for good moments to accompany the future of the club. The future is bright with fans like these. I am confident."
