Trade recruit Choi Seong-ho (LG Twins) will make his LG debut against his former team.

The professional baseball LG Twins are preparing for the 7th game of the season against KT Wiz in the 2025 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League, which is set to take place at Suwon KT Wiz Park on the 26th.

LG has organized its starting lineup with Shin Min-jae (second baseman), Kim Hyun-soo (left fielder), Moon Sung-ju (right fielder), Moon Bo-gyeong (third baseman), Austin Dean (designated hitter), Park Dong-won (catcher), Choi Seong-ho (first baseman), Gu Bon-hyeok (shortstop), and Park Hae-min (center fielder), to face KT's starting pitcher So Hyung-jun. The starting pitcher will be Im Chan-kyu.

Choi Seong-ho, who was traded from KT to LG, will take the field for his Twins debut wearing number 59. The day before, LG executed a trade by sending left-handed pitcher Im Jun-hyung to KT in exchange for infielder Choi Seong-ho and catcher Kim Jun-tae. The previous day's game was canceled due to rain, allowing the trade derby to take place on the last day of the series.

KT also registered Im Jun-hyung in the first-team roster the day before. Before the game, KT manager Lee Kang-cheol joked with a smile, "Should I use Im Jun-hyung once during Choi Seong-ho's at-bat today?" The potential matchup between Choi Seong-ho and Im Jun-hyung became a new point of interest.

Starting pitcher Im Chan-kyu has amassed an impressive record of 8 wins and 2 losses with a 2.61 earned run average (ERA) over 14 games, ranking tied for 4th in wins (1st among domestic players) and 5th in ERA (3rd among domestic players). His last appearance was on the 14th against the Hanwha Eagles, where he pitched 6 scoreless innings but unfortunately received a no-decision. He has a memorable victory against KT on April 3rd in Suwon, where he pitched 5⅔ innings allowing only 1 run.

In response, KT submitted a roster featuring Kim Min-hyeok (left fielder), Kim Sang-su (second baseman), Ahn Hyun-min (right fielder), Jang Seong-woo (catcher), Lee Jeong-hoon (designated hitter), Heo Gyeong-min (third baseman), Moon Sang-cheol (first baseman), Bae Jeong-dae (center fielder), and Kwon Dong-jin (shortstop).

LG ranks 2nd with a season record of 42 wins, 2 ties, and 31 losses while KT is 6th with 38 wins, 3 ties, and 35 losses. The gap between the two teams is 4 games, and the head-to-head record for the season stands at 2 wins and 4 losses in favor of LG.
