The national taekwondo poomsae team of Korea, preparing for the 2025 Leiria Summer Universiade, began joint training at the Woosuk University Taekwondo Department on the 23rd.
The national team, consisting of three leaders, five male athletes, and five female athletes, will continue focused training at the Woosuk University Taekwondo Training Center with the Woosuk University Taekwondo Poomsae team until the 10th of next month.
This joint training will center on strategic training for various poomsae events such as individual, mixed, and team competitions, and is expected to serve as a platform for sharing practical experience and technical exchanges between college and the national team. Especially, the national team is dedicated to training with the goal of winning five gold medals at this world competition.
President Park No-jun said, "It is very meaningful that the national team athletes challenging the world stage have chosen our university as their training site," and, "I hope this joint training serves as an opportunity for the athletes to improve their skills and boost their confidence."
