Could Manchester City have truly signed a 'little devil'? The 19-year-old Argentine prodigy Claudio Echeverri has drawn fans' attention with his intense presence.

Echeverri started in the match against Al Ain (UAE) in the group stage of the FIFA Club World Cup Group E at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, U.S. on the 23rd (Korea time) and scored his debut goal for Manchester City.

Playing as an attacking midfielder alongside striker Erling Haaland, Echeverri scored an additional goal with a stunning free kick in the 27th minute of the first half, leading 1-0. It was a shot that flew over a five-man wall from about 21 yards on the right side of the arc, hitting the back right corner with precision.

The sharp shot from Echeverri left Al Ain goalkeeper Khalid Eisa motionless, merely watching the ball go by. This was Echeverri's goal in his third appearance since transferring to Manchester City from River Plate last January for £12.5 million (approximately 23.2 billion won).

Then Manchester City fans went wild. According to the U.K.'s Daily Mail, fans expressed their astonishment on social media, saying, "I can't believe we've signed such a player!" and another fan noted, "That was a completely insane free kick." They also welcomed him, saying, "Echeverri has finally arrived."

Although the attacking midfielder Echeverri is small in stature (170 cm), he is known by the nickname 'little devil.' His quick feet, excellent dribbling, and creative play can feel tormenting to opposing defenses. With his free kick scoring ability added to the mix, expectations have risen.

In particular, some fans compared this free kick goal to that of French legend Zinedine Zidane (53). Zidane scored a free kick and a penalty in added time of the second half against England during the first group stage match of Euro 2004, leading to a comeback victory.
