Top scorer of K League 1 Jeon Jin-woo (26, Jeonbuk) will be deployed as the ace of the national team.

The roster of the men's and women's national football teams participating in the 2025 East Asian Football Federation (EAFF) E-1 Football Championship, which will be held in Korea in July, has been announced.

The EAFF E-1 Championship, in which the Republic of Korea's men's and women's national teams will participate, will be held from July 7 to 16 in three cities in Gyeonggi Province (Yongin, Suwon, Hwaseong). The men's matches will be held at Yongin Mir Stadium, while the women's matches will take place at Suwon World Cup Stadium and Hwaseong Comprehensive Sports Town.

As this tournament does not take place during the FIFA-scheduled A match period, the roster has primarily been selected with players active in the East Asian region. Players active in Europe and North America were selected through consultations with their respective clubs.

Out of the 23-man roster for the men's national team, all are players currently active in the K League, except for three J-League players. Among them, only Kim Dong-hun (Incheon) is a K League 2 player, while the rest are affiliated with K League 1.

A total of seven players have been selected for the A national team for the first time, including Kim Tae-hyun (Kashima), Byun Jun-soo (Gwangju), Seo Myung-kwan (Ulsan), Kim Tae-hyun (Jeonbuk), Seo Min-woo (Gangwon), Lee Seung-won (Gimcheon), and Lee Ho-jae (Pohang). Na Sang-ho (Machida) returns to the national team after two years since being called up in June 2023.

The Hong Myung-bo team's first match of the tournament will begin at 8 p.m. on July 7 against China, followed by matches against Hong Kong at 8 p.m. on the 11th and Japan at 7:24 p.m. on the 15th.

The women's national team, led by head coach Shin Sang-woo, includes nine overseas players whose club affiliations have been confirmed through consultations in the final roster of 23, including Ji So-young (Seattle Reign), Lee Young-joo (Levante UD), and Casey (Angel City FC). Aside from two college players, the remaining 12 are all WK League players, and central defender Koo Chae-hyun (Changnyeong WFC), who was recently named MVP of the WK League Round 13, has been selected for the senior national team for the first time.

The Shin Sang-woo team will play its first match against China in Suwon at 8 p.m. on July 9. The venue will move to Hwaseong for a match against Japan at 8 p.m. on the 13th, and return to Suwon for a match against Taiwan at 7:30 p.m. on the 16th.

Details related to ticket sales for the tournament will be announced later.
