Professional baseball player Kim Min-hyeok of the Doosan Bears marked his 9th career home run after 448 days.

On the 22nd, Kim Min-hyeok started as the number 8 first baseman in the 8th game of the season against the LG Twins in the 2025 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League at Seoul's Jamsil Stadium, hitting a home run in his second at-bat.

Kim Min-hyeok emerged as the lead-off hitter in the bottom of the 5th inning while trailing 0-10 and launched a home run against LG starter Song Seung-gi. After watching the first pitch strike, he hit a high fastball (145 km) on the second pitch, resulting in a 129.1-meter home run to left field. It was his first home run in 10 games this season.

Kim Min-hyeok marked his 9th career home run after 448 days since the game against the KIA Tigers in Jamsil on March 31 of last year. Acting manager Jo Seong-hwan noted before the game that he hoped Kim Min-hyeok would show a good performance against left-handed pitchers again, and he met those expectations by hitting his first home run.

As of the bottom of the 5th inning, Doosan is trailing 1-10 against rivals LG. It has become difficult to challenge for a three-game winning streak after 38 days.
