The professional baseball team Doosan Bears achieved a narrow 6-5 victory over the 'Jamsil rivals' LG Twins.

Doosan won 6-5 against LG in a game held at Seoul's Jamsil Stadium on the 21st. Doosan currently leads the season series against LG with 4 wins and 3 losses.

Doosan exchanged runs with LG from the start of the game. In the first inning, lead-off hitter Jeong Soo-bin reached base with a double to left field, and Kim Dong-jun's ground ball to second base allowed a run to score, making it 1-0. However, they quickly allowed a tie at 1-1 at the bottom of the first.

Doosan regained the lead in the top of the fourth inning. After one out, Yang Eui-ji walked and Kim Jae-hwan reached base with a hit to right, creating an opportunity on first and second base. Subsequently, a wild pitch by the opposing pitcher made it a better chance on second and third base. Cave hit a two-RBI double to left-center, stretching the lead to 3-1.

Doosan's lead was short-lived, as starting pitcher Kwak Bin allowed a three-run homer to Park Dong-won in the bottom of the fourth, leading to a 4-3 reversal.

In the fifth inning, Doosan capitalized on a walk by Park Jun-soon and a hit to right by Kim Min-seok to create a no-out opportunity on first and second base. Jeong Soo-bin's sacrifice bunt led to a one out, two on, but Kim Dong-jun's ground ball to second base tied the game at 4-4. Then in the sixth, they capitalized on the LG bullpen to take the lead again.

Against the newly introduced pitcher Son Ju-yeong, lead-off hitter Kim Jae-hwan connected with a single to left, creating a one-out, two on opportunity when Lee Yoo-chan followed with a single to center. Oh Myung-jin hit an infield single to short, allowing the runner from third to score. Despite the opposing shortstop attempting a reverse play on the ball, he was unable to throw to first.

In the at-bat of pinch hitter Lim Jong-seong, the runner on second successfully stole third base, followed by the runner on first who stole second base. Lim Jong-seong hit an infield single to third base, widening the score to 6-4.

Starting pitcher Kwak Bin recorded 7 hits, 1 home run allowed, 2 walks, and 2 strikeouts over 6 innings (102 pitches), earning his second win of the season. From the seventh inning, Lee Byung-heon (2/3 inning scoreless), Choi Ji-gang (1/3 inning scoreless), and Lee Young-ha (1 inning scoreless) continued the scoreless efforts, and in the ninth, closer Kim Taek-yeon came in, recording a save with 1 inning, allowing 1 hit, 2 walks, and 1 run.

After the game, acting head coach Jo Seong-hwan noted, "We allowed a reversal in the fourth inning, but it was good to see us follow up quickly. Thanks to the coaching staff and the power analysis team for their extensive research, we frequently witnessed dynamic plays on the field."

He continued, "Starting pitcher Kwak Bin allowed a home run but did his part until the sixth inning, greatly assisting in the management of our pitchers. The relievers Lee Byung-heon, Choi Ji-gang, Lee Young-ha, and Kim Taek-yeon also did their jobs well."

Acting head coach Jo Seong-hwan said, "The players showed balanced performance from the first to the ninth batters. The young players have made mistakes, but they are gradually improving, which is encouraging. I hope the players continue to show confidence and solid play as they have been doing."
