For the first time in Korea, a practical strategy forum centered around the Chief AI Officer (CAIO) will be held.
The KAIST CAIO Alumni Association (President Kim Young-joo) announced on the 19th that it will host the 'KAIST CAIO AI Leaders Forum 2025' on July 3 at the POSCO Tower in Yeoksam, Seoul. Participants will include CAIOs, AI executives, and practitioners from major corporations and institutions in the country.
The event will be held under the theme 'Beyond AI: Business Design and Strategy Expanding with AI,' sponsored by the KAIST Kim Jae-cheol Graduate School of AI. Experts from various corporations, including Samsung Heavy Industries, Saramin, Biocom, InEasy, DaviO, SureSoft, and RAINBOW, as well as CAIOs from the Gyeonggi Provincial Government, will present new technologies and strategies that corporations should pay attention to, along with real-world application cases.
The keynote speech will be given by Professor Jang Dong-in from the KAIST Kim Jae-cheol Graduate School of AI, who will present on 'Ways to Implement AI Technology that Generates Revenue for Corporations.' Professor Jang noted that in a situation where corporations are increasingly interested in monetizing after AI adoption, he will introduce criteria for selecting revenue-oriented AI technologies, as well as strategies for organization, culture, and utilization.
Additionally, there will be expert lectures on the latest technology trends such as AI agents and corporate response strategies. Yoo Eung-jun, CEO of Jun AI Consulting, will introduce strategic transitions for businesses under the topic 'Business Paradigm Shift in the Age of Agentic AI.' Shin Gye-young, Vice President of Samsung SDS, and Lee Soo-jae, Director of the Gyeonggi Provincial Government, will present on 'Considerations and Success Cases for Implementing Generative AI' and 'Public Strategy for National Leap in AI GI,' respectively.
There will also be presentations focused on global and industry-specific topics. Ku Tae-hoon, a partner at AWS Korea, will discuss the application of generative AI agents by global financial firms, while Park Jae-ho, CTO of RAINBOW, will share innovation cases in the finance and manufacturing sectors under the topic 'AI Transformation Beyond Digital Transformation.'
The actual AI utilization cases of various corporations, from large enterprises to startups, will also be highlighted. Park Jeong-seo, Center Manager at Samsung Heavy Industries, will present on 'Automation Cases Using AI in the Shipbuilding Industry,' while Kim Jeong-gil, Deputy Minister at Saramin, will lecture on 'Beyond Recruitment: AI Expanding HR Business.' Additionally, Jang Yoon-seok, Director at InEasy, Jeon Tae-joon, CEO of Biocom, Choi Kyung-hwa, Head of Research at SureSoft, and Choi Gyu-seong, Vice President of DaviO, will also introduce practical innovation cases utilizing AI.
Kim Young-joo, President of the KAIST CAIO Alumni Association (Vice President of SysOne), noted, 'This forum is a meaningful opportunity for CAIOs to share real experiences and present strategies for the future of AI-based business,' adding, 'It will provide insightful insights to AI executives, planners, and developers.'
