Daejeon Hana Citizen has signed versatile winger Kim Jin-ya from FC Seoul.

Kim Jin-ya is a graduate of the Incheon United youth team, Gwangseong Middle School - Daegun High School, and he made his professional debut with Incheon ahead of the 2017 season. As a veteran player born in 1998, he has achieved 2 goals and 8 assists in 198 matches in K League 1.

During his time at Incheon (2017-2019), he played 73 matches in K League 1, scoring 1 goal and providing 3 assists, and during his time at FC Seoul (2020-2025.6), he achieved 125 matches in K League 1, scoring 1 goal and providing 5 assists.

In his first professional season, on July 1, 2017, he came off the bench in a home match against Gwangju, achieving his first professional attacking point with an assist on the winning goal, and scored his debut goal on May 5, 2018, in a home match against Jeju.

Based on his performance from his professional debut season, he was selected for the '2018 Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games', where he played in every match up to the final and won a gold medal, and he contributed significantly to reaching the quarter-finals at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics held in June 2021.

Kim Jin-ya is a multi-resource player capable of playing as a winger on both the left and right flanks, with his greatest strengths being his vigorous activity levels based on tremendous stamina and penetration ability harnessed from his speed. His addition is a definitive reinforcement to solve the squad composition difficulties caused by frequent injuries among flank players.

Kim Jin-ya said, "I am pleased and honored to join Daejeon Hana Citizen in the soccer capital Daejeon. With the excellent coach Hwang Sun-hong at the helm and many outstanding players forming a title-contending team, there is a pressure to overcome competition, but my primary goal is to contribute to Daejeon's victory. I will greet Daejeon Hana Citizen fans and Daejeon lovers at Purple Arena with an impressive performance. Thank you."

Daejeon will face Gwangju FC in the 'Hana Bank K League 1 2025' 20th round scheduled for June 22 (Sunday) at 7 p.m.
