Will he be able to lead Real Madrid to victory in the next match?
The British 'BBC' reported on the 20th (Korea time) that "Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé (27) has been discharged from the hospital after receiving treatment for gastroenteritis."
Real Madrid's star forward Mbappé has recently been unable to train due to a high fever. He also missed the group stage opening match against Al Hilal at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup held at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, U.S. on the 19th, where Real was disappointed with a 1-1 draw.
On the 20th, the club announced that Mbappé was hospitalized with 'acute gastroenteritis,' but a few hours later, they officially announced that he had been discharged and returned to training.
The club stated in a release that "Mbappé will continue with individual treatment while gradually returning to team training." He is currently back at the Real Madrid training camp located in Palm Beach, Florida.
Gastroenteritis is an infectious disease that occurs in the intestines and can cause vomiting and diarrhea. If Mbappé does not recover in time for the match against CF Pachuca (Mexico) on the 23rd, he may return for the final group stage match against RB Salzburg on June 26.
Meanwhile, in his first season after transferring as a free agent (FA) from Paris Saint-Germain, Mbappé excelled with 43 goals in 56 matches across all competitions. He experienced UEFA Super Cup victory last season with Real.
This Club World Cup is the first official tournament under coach Xabi Alonso, who was appointed as the successor to Carlo Ancelotti.
