The professional baseball team SSG Landers achieved a big victory and is on a two-game winning streak.
SSG won 11-1 against the Kiwoom Heroes in the '2025 Shinhan Bank SOL Bank KBO League' game held at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on the 17th, continuing a two-game winning streak.
Starting pitcher Mitch White led the game with a fastball that reached a maximum speed of 154 km/h, pitching 6 innings with 3 hits, 1 walk, 1 hit batter, and 6 strikeouts without allowing a run, securing his 5th win of the season. The bullpen followed with Kim Min (⅓ inning, 1 run), Noh Kyung-eun (⅔ inning, no runs), Park Si-hoo (1 inning, no runs), and Choi Hyun-seok (1 inning, no runs) to maintain the team's victory. Noh Kyung-eun achieved his 600th career game appearance, marking the 30th record in KBO League history.
SSG's batting lineup racked up 15 hits. Go Myung-jun, Park Seong-han, Kim Seong-wook, Kim Chan-hyung, and Jeong Jun-jae all recorded multi-hit games. SSG manager Lee Seung-yong noted in a post-game interview, "We won due to the stellar performance of pitcher White and the balanced contributions of the players. White displayed stable pitching with a scoreless outing, laying the foundation for the team's victory," he said.
"All the players in the batting lineup contributed evenly," said manager Lee Seung-yong, adding, "Among them, (Park) Seong-han led the team's offense with 5 on-base appearances, and (Kim) Seong-wook also performed well with 3 RBIs. In particular, (Choi) Jun-woo's 6th-inning pinch-hit single brought the game's momentum," he encouraged the hitters who showed hot batting.
