Yang Min-hyuk returns to Gangwon FC, excited to meet fans during home game

Legend No. 47 of Gangwon FC, Yang Min-hyuk (19, Tottenham), creates memories with fans at the Gangwon FC home stadium.

Gangwon FC announced on the 18th that "Yang Min-hyuk will visit the home game against Daegu FC on the 21st at 7 p.m. at the Gangneung High One Arena for the Hana Bank K League 1 2025 Round 20."

Gangwon FC planned a meeting between Yang Min-hyuk and the fans during his summer break. Yang Min-hyuk will meet fans directly through a signing event before the match. A welcome ceremony for Yang Min-hyuk's visit to the home game will be held at halftime. After greeting the fans, Yang Min-hyuk will deliver a signed ball to the audience.

Yang Min-hyuk prepared coffee and churros to express his gratitude to the Gangwon FC fans. He will gift dessert sets to 470 Gangwon FC fans behind the N-seat variable seats. Yang Min-hyuk plans to repay the love from the Gangwon FC fans with the snacks he prepared.

Yang Min-hyuk noted, "It feels new to be supporting this year after playing until last year, and I am very excited to see the fans. I hope many people come to the first home game in Gangneung after playing in Chuncheon and cheer with me."

Yang Min-hyuk debuted with Gangwon FC under a semi-professional contract for the 2024 season. He showcased an outstanding performance with 12 goals and 6 assists in 38 games upon debut. Yang Min-hyuk won the K League Young Player of the Month award four consecutive times, the first-ever achievement, and set a personal record of five times overall. After the season, he won both the K League Best XI and Young Player awards. Yang Min-hyuk is the first semi-professional player to win the Best XI and Young Player awards.

Yang Min-hyuk, who has written the legend of No. 47 of Gangwon FC, transferred to Tottenham Hotspur in England, stepping onto the European stage. In March, he made his senior national team debut in the 8th match of Group B in the third round of Asia’s qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, placing 12th in the youngest participants of the Korean men's national football team.
