The Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) announced on the 16th the results of the second interim tally of fan votes for the 2025 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO All-Star Game 'Best 12.'
Following the first interim tally, Hanwha's Kim Seo-hyeon, candidate for the closing pitcher in the Sharing All-Star, maintained the top spot in total votes. By club, Lotte surpassed Samsung to have the most players, with six topping the interim tally. In the first tally, Samsung had six players, while Lotte had five, but the positions have flipped.
As of 5 p.m. on the 15th, Kim Seo-hyeon received a total of 1,304,258 votes across three channels (KBO website, KBO app, Shinhan SOL Bank app) during the first and second vote combined, the highest among all candidates. The voting rate is approximately 50.6% of the total 2,577,376 votes cast.
The second-most votes in the interim tally also went to Yoon Dong-hee, following the first tally, for the outfielder position in the Dream All-Star. Yoon Dong-hee, who received 1,254,077 votes, trails first-place Kim Seo-hyeon by about 50,000 votes.
The Dream All-Stars from Samsung and Lotte continue their fierce competition, following the first tally into the second. Lotte has the most representatives with six players, including Jeong Cheol-won in the middle pitcher position, Kim Won-jung in the closing pitcher position, Jeon Min-jae in the shortstop position, Yoon Dong-hee (first among outfielders), Reyes (third among outfielders), and Jeon Jun-woo in the designated hitter position. Reyes surpassed Samsung's Kim Ji-chan, who was ahead by about 30,000 votes in the first tally, to rank third among outfielders.
Samsung maintains the lead with five players, including Won Tae-in in the starting pitcher position, Kang Min-ho in the catcher position, Diaz in the first baseman position, Ryu Ji-hyuk in the second baseman position, and Gu Ja-wook (second among outfielders). In the third baseman position, SSG's Choi Jeong is leading with 950,601 votes.
In the Sharing All-Star, all candidates from the first interim tally are still leading, with Hanwha showing strong performance. Hanwha's candidates include Ponce in the starting pitcher position, Park Sang-won in the middle pitcher position, and Kim Seo-hyeon in the closing pitcher position, along with Florio (first among outfielders) and Moon Hyun-bin in the designated hitter position, totaling five candidates at the top.
LG follows Hanwha with three candidates leading in their respective sectors, including Park Dong-won in the catcher position, Austin in the first baseman position, and Park Hae-min (third among outfielders). KIA and NC have two players each, with KIA's Kim Do-young (third base) and Park Chan-ho (shortstop), while NC has Park Min-woo (second base) and Park Gun-woo (second among outfielders) at the top.
Hanwha is also aiming for the top spot in the second baseman, first baseman, and outfielder sectors. In the second baseman position, NC's Park Min-woo is leading with 851,551 votes, with Hanwha's Hwang Young-mook in second place, having received 847,484 votes, just 4,067 votes behind Park Min-woo.
In the first baseman sector, LG's Austin is leading with 883,754 votes, but Hanwha's Chae Eun-seong is close behind with 851,890 votes, trailing by about 31,864 votes. The gap was 42,036 votes in the first tally.
In the outfielder sector, Hanwha's Lee Jin-young has garnered 795,520 votes, closely following LG's Park Hae-min (814,018 votes) by a margin of 18,489 votes.
The fan vote to select the Best 12 players participating in the 2025 KBO All-Star Game will continue until 2 p.m. on the 22nd, and the final Best 12 list, combining fan votes (70%) and player votes (30%), is scheduled to be announced on the 23rd.
Meanwhile, KBO is conducting a prize draw event for baseball fans participating in fan voting. Through the KBO website or KBO official app, eight fans participating in daily voting will be randomly selected to receive prizes including LG Standby Me 2, Dyson Hot & Cool Jet Focus, AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation, and Starbucks gift cards (50,000 won for five people).
