"There are no teams that are extremely strong in the future."
Bucheon FC 1995 achieved a 3-1 comeback victory against Seoul E-Land in the Hana Bank K League 2 2025 Round 16 at Bucheon Stadium on the 14th.
With this win, Bucheon successfully escaped a two-match losing streak and added 3 points, recording 7 wins, 4 draws, and 5 losses for a total of 25 points, placing them 5th.
In the match, E-Land led first. In the 16th minute of the first half, Jeong Jae-min skillfully turned in a cross from the right flank just in front of the goal. After scoring the opening goal, E-Land took control of the game for a while, continuously creating shooting opportunities.
Bucheon increased their attacking focus towards the end of the first half. Gradually raising their possession, Bucheon ultimately equalized right before the end of the first half. In the additional time of the first half, Park Chang-jun accurately crossed from the left flank, shaking the net with a powerful left-footed scissors kick by Park Hyun-bin.
E-Land made changes by bringing in Pedrinho and Cha Seung-hyun at the start of the second half, but it had little effect. Instead, Bucheon ramped up their momentum and launched aggressive attacks. In the process, in the 8th minute of the second half, Jang Si-young drew a foul from E-Land's Jang Si-young, earning a penalty kick, but Montano's shot as the kicker soared well over the goal, losing the opportunity for a comeback.
However, Bucheon turned the game around with dramatic play. They provoked mistakes from the E-Land defense with strong forward pressing. Then, Park Chang-jun scored, leading to a comeback victory.
Bucheon head coach Lee Young-min said after the match, "In the last three away games, we looked poor and did not present a good image to the fans. We created a turning point today. All the players, not just those who started, did their best. We contained what Seoul E-Land do well and showcased our strengths. Based on today’s match, we will strive to achieve good results."
Emphasizing before the match that they needed to capitalize on the opponent's mistakes to score, Coach Lee noted, "We thought a lot about that aspect while preparing for E-Land over the past week. The players performed well in the game what we worked on during training. There were some shortcomings in the attacking situations in the first half, but overall, they executed well what they prepared in a short time."
In particular, Bucheon lost in their previous away match against Incheon, and the dissatisfaction of the fans was directly expressed. However, they completely changed the atmosphere in just one match. Coach Lee did not hide his anticipation for future matches.
Coach Lee Young-min said, "Now we have upcoming matches against teams we need to compete with. There are no teams weaker than us, but there are also no teams extremely strong. We must give our best in every game, stay focused, and prepare to play well like today."
