In the 2025 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO All-Star Game 'Best 12' fan voting second interim tally, Kim Seo-hyeon of the Hanwha Eagles has maintained the top position in overall votes.

As of 5 p.m. on the 15th, Kim Seo-hyeon received the highest number of votes among all candidates, totaling 1,304,258 votes from the two phases combined across three channels (KBO website, KBO app, Shinhan SOL Bank app). This accounts for about 50.6% of the total 2,577,376 votes.

The second highest number of votes in the interim tally for the second phase was also taken by Yoon Dong-hee of the Lotte Giants in the Dream All-Star outfielder sector, following the first tally. Yoon Dong-hee received 1,254,077 votes, showing a gap of about 50,000 votes compared to first place Kim Seo-hyeon.

In the Dream All-Star, both the Samsung Lions and the Lotte Giants continued to show strength, maintaining their lead from the first tally into the second. The Lotte Giants had six players ranked first in their respective sectors: Jeong Cheol-won in the middle pitcher sector, Kim Won-jung in the closing pitcher sector, Jeon Min-jae in the shortstop sector, Yoon Dong-hee (1st in outfielder), Reyes (3rd in outfielder), and Jeon Jun-woo in the designated hitter sector. Reyes moved into third place in the outfielder sector, surpassing Samsung's Kim Ji-chan, who was leading by about 30,000 votes during the first tally.

Samsung's five players maintained their lead in the starting pitcher sector with Won Tae-in, the catcher sector with Kang Min-ho, the first baseman sector with Lewin Diaz, the second baseman sector with Ryu Ji-hyeok, and the outfielder sector with Koo Ja-wook (2nd in outfielder), trailing behind Lotte. In the third baseman sector, Choi Jeong of SSG is currently in first place with 950,601 votes.

In the Napum All-Star, all candidates who ranked first in the interim tally of the first phase have maintained their lead, with Hanwha showing strength. Hanwha has five candidates leading: Cody Ponce in the starting pitcher sector, Park Sang-won in the middle pitcher sector, Kim Seo-hyeon in the closing pitcher sector, Estevan Florial (1st in outfielder) in the outfielder sector, and Moon Hyun-bin in the designated hitter sector.

LG is following Hanwha with three sectors ranked first: Park Dong-won in the catcher sector, Austin Dean in the first baseman sector, and Park Hae-min (3rd in outfielder) in the outfielder sector. KIA and NC each have two players leading, with KIA's Kim Do-young in the third baseman sector and Park Chan-ho in the shortstop sector, while NC's Park Min-woo is leading in the second baseman sector and Park Geon-woo (2nd in outfielder) is at the top.

In the Napum All-Star second baseman sector, where the competition was the fiercest with a difference of 18,220 votes in the first tally, the margin has gotten even narrower. NC's Park Min-woo is leading with 851,551 votes, followed closely by Hanwha's Hwang Young-mook with 847,484 votes, having a difference of just 4,067 votes. Additionally, LG's Austin in the Napum All-Star first baseman sector and Hanwha's Chae Eun-seong are also competing closely, with a gap of about 30,000 votes.

The KBO noted, "Following the 2024 season, the KBO League is set to surpass 6 million spectators in the first half for the second time in history, and this excitement has carried over into the All-Star fan voting. The second interim tally shows a total of 2,577,376 votes, which is an increase of about 10% compared to the 2nd interim tally of the 2024 All-Star Game with 2,341,719 votes."

Meanwhile, the KBO is conducting a giveaway event for baseball fans participating in the fan voting. Through the KBO website or the KBO official app, eight fans who vote daily will be randomly selected to receive prizes including LG Stanby Me2, Dyson Hot & Cool Jet Focus, AirPods 4 Active Noise, and Starbucks gift cards (50,000 won – for 5 people).

The fan voting to select the Best 12 to participate in the 2025 KBO All-Star Game will continue until 2 p.m. on the 22nd, and the final Best 12 list, which combines the fan voting (70%) and the players' votes (30%), will be announced on the 23rd.
