Yoo Young-chan has recorded a second scoreless multi-inning outing since returning from elbow surgery rehabilitation.

On the 14th, Yoo Young-chan took the mound as a relief pitcher in a big matchup against the Hanwha Eagles at Hanwha Life Park in Daejeon, pitching 1⅓ innings without allowing any hits, striking out one, and recording no earned runs. He faced 5 batters with a pitch count of 15 (11 strikes).

The matchup between LG and Hanwha, dubbed 'a preview of the Korean Series,' was a tense battle from the first inning, leading to a one-point game. LG scored first with a sacrifice fly by Shin Min-jae in the top of the 5th inning with one out and a runner on third base. Hanwha turned the game around in the bottom of the 7th, capitalizing on LG’s ace reliever Jang Hyun-sik by hitting four consecutive singles for a 2-1 lead.

In the top of the 8th, LG capitalized on three walks against the Hanwha bullpen to create a bases-loaded opportunity. Park Dong-won then tied the game 2-2 with a sacrifice fly to center field against closer Kim Seo-hyeon, who had come in early.

On the 5th against NC in Changwon, he came in during the 8th inning with one out and bases loaded while leading 3-1, putting out the fire with consecutive strikeouts and recording a save with 1⅔ innings pitched, no hits allowed, and three strikeouts without any earned runs.

On the 8th, he appeared in the 9th inning against Kiwoom after leading 7-0, aiming to manage his condition, but allowed two earned runs. He has never allowed a run when coming in with runners on base, stopping all seven inherited runners.
