Professional baseball team Hanwha Eagles ascended to first place after beating LG Twins for the first time in 32 days. The game was interrupted for 104 minutes during the bottom of the fifth inning due to heavy rain before resuming.
Hanwha won 10-5 in the 10th matchup against LG at Hanwha Life Eagles Park in Daejeon on the 15th. Hanwha dropped to second place after losing to Doosan on May 14, falling from joint first place. They reclaimed first place after 33 days.

They tied the game in the bottom of the fourth after trailing 0-4, and the game was interrupted due to rain in the fifth inning before resuming, which led to a five-run big inning as they turned the game around. Starting pitcher Moon Dong-ju allowed six hits, three walks, and four earned runs in 3⅔ innings before being pulled early. Hwang Jun-seo recorded a relief win after pitching 1⅓ innings with two hits and no runs allowed.
