It was truly the best match in K League 2.

Incheon United won 2-1 against Suwon Samsung in the away game for the Hana Bank K League 2 2025 Round 16 at Suwon World Cup Stadium on the afternoon of the 15th, led by Park Seung-ho's multiple goals.

With this victory, Incheon extended its lead to 10 points over Suwon, increasing the possibility of direct promotion with a total of 41 points (13 wins, 2 draws, 1 loss) compared to Suwon's 31 points (9 wins, 4 draws, 3 losses).

Teams finishing 2nd to 5th must compete in a playoff before facing the 10th and 11th place teams in K League 1 in the promotion/relegation playoffs.

Both teams were in good form heading into this match. The two teams have both been on a 12-match unbeaten streak in the league, riding a wave of momentum, with Suwon recording 8 wins and 4 draws, while Incheon recorded 10 wins and 2 draws.

The official attendance for the match was 22,265, making it the second-highest attendance for a single match in K League 2 history.

According to the Korea Professional Football League, the previous record for attendance in a single K League 2 match was 23,015, recorded during the match between Daegu FC and Gyeongnam FC at Daegu Stadium on April 10, 2016.

If the scope is adjusted since the start of paid attendance in 2018, it surpassed the attendance record of 18,173 from the first matchup between Incheon and Suwon held at Incheon Stadium last March.

Incheon easily clinched the victory. In the 14th minute of the first half, Incheon's Jerusso made a solo run and delivered an accurate cross to Park Seung-ho, who calmly finished it off, scoring the opening goal.

After conceding the first goal, Suwon substituted Kim Ji-ho for Kim Ji-hyun in the 18th minute of the first half. Despite being behind 0-1, Suwon launched a fierce attack but was thwarted by the opponent's tough defense.

In the 31st minute of the first half, during a corner kick situation for Suwon, Leo's header hit an opponent and fell inside the goal area. Leo's second shot also went skyward. The first half concluded with Incheon leading 1-0.

Immediately at the start of the second half, Suwon substituted Lee Gyu-jun for Lee Min-hyeok. Park Seung-ho scored his first career double by finishing a cross from Barro with a header in the 49th minute.

Desperate, Suwon brought in Bruno Silva for Seraphim. Incheon also substituted Kim Mo-seob for Park Seung-ho, who had suffered leg cramps after scoring multiple goals.

Suwon pressed hard, and in the 66th minute, during a corner kick by Lee Gi-jae, a defender from Incheon failed to clear the ball, which Kim Ji-hyun trapped with his chest before finishing with a right-footed turning shot.

Riding the momentum, Suwon made a threatening shot in the 68th minute by Lee Gyu-sung, but it hit the post. Incheon stood firm against Suwon's fierce attacks. The match ended with Incheon winning 2-1.
