A campaign to promote sports for people with disabilities is set to begin.

The Korea Disabled Sports Association announced on the 13th during the opening ceremony of the '4th National Harmonious Sports Festival,' held at the Hongcheon Comprehensive Gymnasium in Gangwon Province, the launch of the campaign 'Moving My Way.'

The association explained, "This campaign was planned in line with the national philosophy of the Lee Jae-myung government, which advocates for 'a country where everyone enjoys sports.'"

'Moving My Way' is a catchphrase that emphasizes the importance of participation in sports tailored to each person, reflecting the diverse characteristics of disabled sports in terms of types and severity of disabilities.

'My Way' signifies subjective participation centered around oneself, while 'MOVE' embodies the meaning of 'I move,' symbolized by the emblem Agitos of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC).

The association plans to focus on this campaign for three years until 2027 to create an inclusive sports culture accessible to everyone.

Promotional ambassador Gureurrah will carry out activities to enhance awareness about disabilities and spread the campaign message through a personal YouTube channel.

The opening ceremony of the National Harmonious Sports Festival was attended by Jeong Jin-wan, president of the Korea Disabled Sports Association, as well as key guests including Kim Jin-tae, governor of Gangwon Province, Kim Si-sung, chair of the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Provincial Assembly, and Shin Young-jae, mayor of Hongcheon County, along with athlete representatives from 17 cities and provinces.

President Jeong noted, "I hope families of people with disabilities who are hesitant about sports can experience a healthy and happy life through this festival."
