The transfer market surrounding Kim Min-jae (28, Bayern Munich) is heating up, but a quite different situation is unfolding at present. Despite the mention of major European clubs, it has been confirmed that no team has officially made a transfer proposal yet.

Christian Falk of the German publication Bild explained the status of Kim Min-jae's transfer in an interview with Cutoffside on the 13th (Korean time). Falk noted, "Currently, Kim Min-jae's future has not been determined, and there have been no negotiations between Bayern Munich and the player. No team has made an official offer." He added, "However, there is certainly interest from Saudi Arabian clubs."

Since joining Bayern Munich, Kim Min-jae has been consistently utilized as a key defender for two seasons. He showed stable performances early in the season, but as injuries piled up in the Munich defense, his playing time continued to be enforced. Ultimately, his Achilles injury worsened, and he faced a decline in performance in the latter half of the season. The International Federation of Professional Footballers (FIFPro) publicly raised concerns about the overuse of Kim Min-jae.

However, the eyes of Bayern Munich's leadership were cold. Despite Kim Min-jae's dedication throughout the season, he was evaluated as not meeting expectations, and ultimately, the club changed its stance to allow a transfer if a suitable offer arrives.

Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports Germany also reported, "Bayern is considering Kim Min-jae as a transfer target and is prepared to negotiate if a reasonable offer comes in."

As the transfer rumors intensified, top European clubs such as Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea, Newcastle, and AC Milan have been linked in succession, but among these big clubs, not a single team has formalized a transfer attempt.

According to Falk, "None of these clubs have directly negotiated with Kim Min-jae or conveyed official offers."

Currently, the most active movement is actually from Saudi Arabia. Saudi media Hihi2 reported, "Al Nassr is rapidly advancing negotiations to acquire Kim Min-jae, and they are nearing a substantial agreement with the player." Another local outlet, Al Masar, stated, "Al Nassr has suggested a transfer fee of 50 million euros (78 billion won) and has officially sat down at the negotiation table. Kim Min-jae is also positive about a new challenge."

Meanwhile, regarding the controversy of overuse concerning Kim Min-jae, Bayern Munich strongly denied any responsibility. Director General Max Eberl explained, "Kim Min-jae's physical condition has been thoroughly managed, and the club has never put his health at risk."

However, local perceptions in Germany still hold that Bayern Munich has relied excessively on Kim Min-jae, which has exacerbated his injuries and ultimately led to transfer rumors.

While the transfer market surrounding Kim Min-jae appears to be heating up on the surface, a unique situation persists with no concrete offers. It remains to be seen whether the active approach from Saudi Arabia will ultimately determine Kim Min-jae's new destination.
