The Doosan Bears have escaped the frustrating five-game losing streak.
Doosan won 4-1 against the Kiwoom Heroes in a home game at Jamsil Stadium on the 14th. This marked the end of a five-game losing streak since June 7 against the Lotte Giants at Jamsil.
Choi Seung-yong, the starting pitcher who had previously been praised by former national team coach Sun Dong-ryul with, "I have no more advice to give," broke his three-game losing streak and achieved his fourth win of the season after winning against the KT Wiz in Suwon on May 27. In contrast, Kiwoom has fallen into a four-game losing streak since the game against the LG Twins on the 8th.

Kiwoom managed to score only one run in the seventh inning with Garrett’s walk that forced in a run with two outs and the bases loaded.
Doosan's starter Choi Seung-yong pitched well with six innings, allowing three hits, two walks, striking out two, and no earned runs. This was his fourth win of the season. Yang Eui-ji drove in two runs, including a home run, while Jeong Soo-bin and Kim Jae-hwan each recorded two hits and one run.
Kiwoom's starter Alcantara bowed his head after pitching six innings, allowing nine hits (one home run), one walk, striking out five, and giving up four runs (two earned).
