The transfer saga surrounding Son Heung-min (33, Tottenham) is heating up. With clubs from Turkey joining the fray following Saudi Arabia's interest, predictions are growing that Son may leave North London this summer.

Turkey's Fanatic reported on the 14th (Korean time) that "Fenerbahce is actively pursuing the signing of Son Heung-min by offering a salary of €12 million (18.9 billion won) this summer." The possibility of Son moving to Turkey first arose last year when Galatasaray expressed interest, but negotiations ended early as Tottenham exercised a one-year extension option. However, it is reported that Galatasaray is still making internal preparations for Son's acquisition.

Additionally, the Saudi Arabian Pro League's interest is becoming increasingly aggressive. Notably, Al Hilal has identified Son as a top priority for signing and has entered active negotiations.

Football London reported that Al Hilal plans to offer Son a salary of as much as €30 million (47.3 billion won).

Al Hilal, having recently appointed Simone Inzaghi as its new manager and announced a major rebuilding plan, is targeting top European stars to overhaul its attacking lineup. Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz (both from Liverpool), Bernardo Silva (Manchester City), and Jadon Sancho (Manchester United) are also on the list, with Son at the center of it.

Within Tottenham, the issue of Son's future is emerging as a key topic this summer. Football London's Alasdair Gold noted, "When Thomas Frank takes charge, he will first need to resolve the futures of Son and Cristian Romero," hinting at the possibility of a transfer. He added, "Son has achieved the trophy he desired at Tottenham, and this summer is regarded as an appropriate time for a new challenge."

Local media in Saudi Arabia are also showing keen interest in Son's potential transfer. Salati reported, "Multiple Saudi clubs are in negotiations with Son's camp, and Tottenham believes this summer is the last opportunity to recoup the transfer fee." The transfer fee is reported to be around £50 million (93.1 billion won), and considering the substantial financial power of sovereign wealth funds, it is assessed as a manageable amount.

Al Saudinews reported, "Al Hilal has prioritized global stars such as Nunez, Diaz, Sancho, and Son for its signing targets and has begun work on revamping its attacking lineup."

Aging and position characteristics are also playing a realistic role in the increasing likelihood of Son's transfer. The Athletic analyzed, "The winger position peaks in the mid-20s, and as players enter their 30s, their breakthrough ability and agility sharply decline."
