New leadoff batter Lee Jung-hoo of the San Francisco Giants extended his hitting streak to three games. However, the team suffered a shocking comeback loss to the last-place team, showcasing a series of errors in the bottom of the 9th.

On the 13th (Korea time), Lee Jung-hoo started as the center fielder in the third game of the three-game series against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado, recording 1 hit, 1 walk, and 1 run in 4 at-bats.

In his first at-bat, Lee appeared as the leadoff hitter and watched the first pitch strike from Colorado starter Antonio Senzatela before hitting a 95.1 mph (153 km/h) four-seam fastball low on the second pitch for a ground out to the second baseman.

The second at-bat was different. In the top of the 2nd, with 2 outs and a runner on first leading 2-0, he succeeded with a single to center field. Again facing Senzatela, he hit an 88.5 mph (142 km/h) changeup on the second pitch after watching the first strike, marking his third consecutive game with a hit.

Just like the previous day (3 on base = 3 runs), Lee Jung-hoo's on-base appearance led to a run. After getting to second base on a walk by the following hitter Willy Adames, Lee scored as he passed third base on Heliod Ramos' single to center field, giving Ramos an RBI. This marked his third consecutive game scoring a run.

In the top of the 4th, leading 4-0, he appeared as the leadoff hitter but only managed a ground out to first base. In a disadvantageous count of 1 ball and 2 strikes, he failed to capitalize on Senzatela's 4th pitch, a high-93.5 mph (150 km/h) four-seam fastball.

In the top of the 6th, leading 7-2, Lee once again led off, but after reacting to an outside 87.7 mph (141 km/h) changeup on the 3rd pitch with a count of 1 ball and 1 strike, he grounded out to the shortstop.

Facing his final at-bat in the top of the 8th, with a narrow lead of 7-5 and no outs, Lee encountered right-handed Juan Mejia, drawing a walk after a sequence of ball-ball-strike-ball-swinging strike-foul to finish on a ball. Lee remained on first base as Adames and Ramos both struck out, leading to the end of the inning.

Lee also made his presence felt on defense. In the bottom of the 9th, leading 7-5, he caught a large hit from leadoff hitter Jordan Beck right in front of the wall, then pounded his chest and roared. The local broadcast repeatedly aired the replay of Lee's catch, highlighting his great defense.

Successfully achieving multi-on-base with a hit and walk, Lee maintained a batting average of .275 for the season.

San Francisco suffered an 8-7 walk-off loss to Colorado. Though they led 7-2, they allowed 1 run in the bottom of the 6th and 2 runs in the 7th, entering the bottom of the 9th ahead 7-5. However, they created a one-out, bases loaded crisis with walks and a double, after which third baseman Casey Schmidt's error allowed a run, leading to a 2-RBI walk-off hit by Orlando Arcia.

San Francisco's seven-game winning streak came to an unexpected end, failing to claim a share of first place in the National League West. They recorded 40 wins and 29 losses, falling one game behind the front-running Los Angeles Dodgers.

In contrast, last-place Colorado successfully escaped a dramatic five-game losing streak, recording 13 wins and 55 losses.

Starting on the 14th, San Francisco will face the Los Angeles Dodgers in a three-game series at Dodger Stadium for the top spot in the West. Interest also centers on the outcome of the first matchup this season between Lee Jung-hoo and Kim Hye-seong (Los Angeles Dodgers).
