There are many hopeful eyes on Thomas Frank, the new Tottenham manager. Christian Eriksen (33), who was coached by him in the past, said, "Tottenham is definitely the right leader."

Tottenham announced on the 13th (Korean time) through the club's official channel that "they have signed a three-year contract with Manager Frank until June 2028."

Along with Manager Frank, Justin Cochrane, the chief coach at Brentford, Coach Chris Haslam, analyst Joe Newton, and Coach Andreas Georgsson will also join Tottenham.

Tottenham announced the appointment of Manager Frank just seven days after the dismissal of Manager Ange Postecoglou.

Manager Postecoglou led Tottenham to victory in the UEFA Europa League (UEL) in the 2024-2025 season, bringing the club a trophy after 17 years. However, the Premier League results were dismal. The team recorded the most losses in club history with 22 defeats and ended up in the league's lowest ranking of 17th. Ultimately, the club's leadership made the decisive decision to dismiss him.

Manager Frank began his coaching career with the Denmark youth national teams in 2008. He then took charge at Brøndby in 2013 and gained recognition for his leadership.

In 2016, he joined Brentford as the chief coach and was promoted to head coach in 2018. He has led Brentford for approximately seven years, achieving the remarkable feat of promoting the team to the Premier League in the 2020-2021 season. This is considered one of his major accomplishments.

Manager Frank is known for utilizing various tactics and training systems. He is noted for his ability to manage games through tailored tactics suited to the opposing teams. His skills in youth development and player scouting are also highly regarded.

The Brentford team led by Manager Frank consistently produced results in the Premier League, finishing 13th in 2022, 9th in 2023, 16th in 2024, and wrapping up last season in 10th.

Manager Frank is known to have a close relationship with Tottenham's technical director, Johan Lange. They plan to collaborate closely for a successful first season.

This season, Manager Frank will experience the Champions League stage for the first time.

Tottenham will participate in the Champions League next season as the Europa League champions.

There were critical views regarding the decision to dismiss the manager who brought Tottenham's first major trophy in 17 years, but there are also many fans showing optimism about Manager Frank's arrival, given his notable accomplishments at Brentford.

Among Manager Frank's supporters is Eriksen, who is regarded as a 'Tottenham legend.' He was a key player in leading Tottenham's resurgence under Manager Mauricio Pochettino and received coaching from Manager Frank at Brentford after returning from a cardiac arrest during Euro 2020.

In an interview with the Danish media 'Ekstra Bladet,' Eriksen stated, "I believe Manager Frank is the perfect coach for Tottenham. Considering his character, playing style, and attitude, it’s clear. Tottenham won a trophy last season, but they are in the process of rebuilding. In that sense, Thomas is a very appropriate figure."

Currently 33 years old, Eriksen is looking for a new club after being released from Manchester United.

He was asked about the possibility of returning to Tottenham, to which he replied, "At this stage, I have not been contacted."
