The Korea Anti-Doping Agency (KADA) will host the '2025 Doping Inspector Workshop' on the 14th at the Space Moa seminar room in Seoul Station to strengthen the capabilities of doping inspectors and promote mutual exchange.
This workshop will be attended by 40 KADA-certified doping inspectors, and a key program will introduce the new version of the paperless doping inspection system that KADA implemented as the first in Asia in 2021.
In addition, various case studies on inspection scenarios and practical discussions to improve the inspectors' field response capabilities, as well as training on inspection allocation plans, will be conducted. KADA plans to support inspectors in understanding the inspection system that meets international standards and improving their practical skills.
Kim Il-hwan, Secretary General of KADA, noted, 'Strengthening the capabilities of doping inspectors is crucial for creating a fair sports environment,' and added, 'This workshop will raise the practical skills of each inspector and serve as an opportunity to elevate the level of doping inspections in the country.' He also stated, 'We will continuously maintain a globally recognized level of doping inspections in conjunction with the training scheduled for the second half of the year.'
Meanwhile, KADA has dispatched doping inspectors to five consecutive Olympic Games since the 2016 Rio Olympics. For the 2024 Paris Olympics and Paralympics, it will send the most doping management specialists in Asia, with 13 personnel, proving that Korea's doping management capabilities are highly regarded in the international sports community.
