The Korea Football Association appointed various experts as commissioners and held the first communication committee meeting on the 12th.
The communication committee was launched in accordance with the policy direction of the 55th executive body, emphasizing 'communication with fans and citizens' as core values. Experts from inside and outside the football community have been appointed as commissioners to serve as a bridge for communication between the football community and fans. The communication committee meeting will discuss ▲ policy proposals and development plans ▲ issues and opinions from various sectors related to football ▲ outreach strategies.
The communication committee will be led by Commissioner Joinsuk, the former editor-in-chief of Sports Seoul, with a total of 14 commissioners, including the chairperson. The committee is composed of experts from various fields including media, sports marketing, academia, public institutions, and gaming and digital content.
The communication committee plans to gather voices from the field through regular meetings and workshops and prepare practical communication methods linked to the association's policy tasks. On the 12th, Korea Football Association Chairperson Chung Mong-kyu personally participated in the first meeting to listen to the diverse opinions of the commissioners and plans to actively engage in future meetings.
Chairperson Joinsuk said, 'The communication committee has been newly established as an acknowledgment and reflection of the internal evaluation that the football association has been negligent in active communication. Many people from various sectors who have provided good suggestions and sharp criticism have been present here.' He added, 'Moving forward, I will ensure that the football association can regain the trust of football fans through active two-way communication, rather than one-way communication.'
