Incheon High School's 4th batter Kim Ji-seok (18) showcased his skills without reservation at the high school vs. university All-Star game.

Kim Ji-seok has been a talented player who has participated in many games since his first year as a starting player. He has recorded a batting average of .350 (55 hits out of 157 at-bats), 2 home runs, 31 RBIs, 40 runs, 16 stolen bases, and an OPS of 1.022 over his high school career spanning 50 games. This year also, he has a batting average of .442 (19 hits out of 43 at-bats) in 12 games, with 2 home runs, 8 RBIs, 13 runs, and 7 stolen bases, showcasing his hot hitting.

Thanks to his performance, Kim Ji-seok was selected as a high school All-Star for the '3rd Hanwha Eagles High School vs. University All-Star Game' held on the 2nd at Daejeon's Hanwha Life Eagles Park. He was selected as the 5th designated hitter and hit 3 for 4 with a stellar performance. If the high school All-Stars had won the game, he would have been a strong candidate for the tournament MVP, but the game ended with a 3-1 victory for the university All-Stars. Kim Ji-seok had to be content with winning the high school outstanding hitter award.

In a pre-game interview, Kim Ji-seok expressed, "It's a great opportunity, and it's a position everyone dreams of and aims for in a tournament. It's an honor to be here. I've worked hard to get here, so I want to confidently show my strengths."

Kim Ji-seok, whose parents are both from Chungcheong Province, grew up watching many Hanwha Eagles games. He said, "I started playing baseball in the 3rd year of middle school. I like Lee Jung-hoo (San Francisco)." Kim Ji-seok added, "I used to watch a lot of Hanwha games. I cheered for Roh Si-hwan (Hanwha). When I was younger, I also liked Kim Tae-kyun and Jung Geun-woo a lot. I've been to Eagles Park a lot, but it feels better to be here not just as a spectator but as a player today," he said with a smile.

In this All-Star game, Hanwha's legendary batter Kim Tae-kyun served as a commentator. After watching Kim Ji-seok's hitting, Commissioner Kim Tae-kyun praised him, saying, "It feels like watching Lee Byung-kyu's swing," noting Kim Ji-seok's confident swing. Kim Ji-seok mentioned, "I am confident in my contact ability. I'm also proud of my strong arm, which makes my defense good."

While making a strong impression on the high school stage, Kim Ji-seok stated, "My goal is to finish this season with 3 home runs and a batting average of .450. There is one home run left now. I also want to maintain a high batting average. Moreover, my goal is for the team to win the national championship. I will do my best to achieve victory," he expressed his determination for the rest of the season.
