Sports Toto Korea successfully conducted the 2025 retailer 'gambling addiction prevention campaign' aimed at retailers in Seo-gu and Yuseong-gu, Daejeon, on June 11 (Wednesday).
The Daejeon Chungnam Gambling Problem Prevention and Healing Center also actively informed people about the risks of gambling addiction.
The business operator Sports Toto Korea, which manages the sports promotion lottery Sports Toto issued by the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation, announced on the 12th that it successfully conducted the 2025 retailer 'gambling addiction prevention campaign' at four retailers located in Seo-gu and Yuseong-gu, Daejeon, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the 11th (Wednesday).
The gambling addiction prevention campaign is conducted both online and offline to proactively prevent excessive immersion by customers using Sports Toto retailers and to create a healthy voting culture for both retailer operators and customers.
On that day, Sports Toto Korea collected signatures from retailer owners in Seo-gu and Yuseong-gu regarding the commitment not to induce excessive immersion and to comply with Sports Toto sales regulations, as well as conducted activities where customers promised to purchase tickets in a responsible manner through a 'responsible purchasing pledge.'
Meanwhile, the Daejeon Chungnam Gambling Problem Prevention and Healing Center conducted a 'gambling problem screening test (CPGI)' for visiting customers in the area to prevent gambling addiction in advance and actively contributed to smooth event proceedings by providing various information about gambling addiction and preventive messages through on-site consultations.
In this regard, an official from Sports Toto Korea noted, 'This campaign is the first retailer campaign following the online gambling addiction prevention campaigns conducted a total of three times in the first half of this year,' adding, 'We plan to continue ongoing awareness activities that cover both online and offline in the second half of the year, and we ask for continuous interest and participation from citizens.'
