Geosan County Office (Chungbuk) announced its first victory of the year.
Under the leadership of coach Lee Gwang-seok, Geosan County Office defeated Gurye County Office (Jeonnam) 3-2 in the finals of the "2nd Geosan Organic Mushroom National Championships" women's team event held on the 11th at the Geosan Cultural and Sports Center in Geosan County, Chungbuk, capturing the championship on home ground.
In the semifinals of the women's team event, they faced Hwaseong Special City Hall (Gyeonggi Province) without conceding a single point, winning 3-0 to advance to the finals.
In the finals, the players from the Maehwa class (under 60 kg), Seonchae-rim, and the Gukhwa class (under 70 kg), Lee Se-mi, won consecutively, taking a 2-0 lead.
However, Gurye County Office was not easily defeated, and the score was tied at 2-2. In the final match of the Maehwa class, Choi Da-hye (Geosan County Office) successfully executed a series of pushes, achieving a comeback for a 3-2 victory and securing the team's championship.
Geosan County Office raised the first championship trophy of the season in the women's team event.
Meanwhile, in the individual competitions for women, Choi Da-hye (Geosan County Office) won the Maehwa class (under 60 kg), Lee Jae-ha (Ansan City Hall) was victorious in the Gukhwa class (under 70 kg), and Choi Hee-hwa (Gurye County Office) took first place in the Mugunghwa class (under 80 kg).
