The Korea Volleyball Federation (President Cho Won-tae) will recruit coaches for the KOVO youth elite team from the 13th to the 23rd until 5 p.m.
The federation decided to operate the KOVO youth elite team starting in 2026 through a board meeting held in March to establish a long-term foundation for nurturing youth players and discovering promising newcomers. Thus, the KOVO youth elite team is expected to operate in the form of a club team from 2026 after a preparation period in 2025.
Coaches for the youth elite team will be recruited, one each for the U-12 boys' and girls' divisions. The head coach will be selected through document review and interviews, including submitted assignments, and has the authority to appoint one coach and one trainer. However, both the coach and trainer must also meet the eligibility criteria.
Eligibility for the head coach includes having at least 3 years of experience coaching youth players (elite, club, etc.) and holding a level 2 or higher qualification as a professional sports coach, or having no experience coaching youth, but possessing over 3 seasons of experience as a head coach or coach with a professional team or having played professionally for over 10 seasons.
Those who pass the document review will be individually notified on the 24th, and schedules for assignment announcements and interview evaluations will be provided individually. The preparation period for the founding year, 2025, will consist of a contract from the 1st of the following month to December 31, lasting for 6 months. More detailed information can be found on the federation's website.
