Chungbuk Cheongju FC joins hands with Cheongju Kim Eye Clinic (hereafter 'Cheongju Kim Eye Clinic') again this year, following last year, to start serious preparations for the '2025 K League Queen Cup (K-WIN CUP).'

The '2025 K League Queen Cup (K-WIN CUP)' is a tournament organized by the Korea Professional Football Association that started in 2010 to expand women's soccer participation and opportunities for women's sports, featuring amateur female soccer players of all ages. It will take place over three days, from Sept. 5 (Fri) to Sept. 7 (Sun).

The recruitment period for players participating in this tournament is from June 10 (Tue) to June 20 (Fri), and only women registered as residing in Chungcheongbuk-do can apply. The application method is to check and fill out the application form on the club's website and submit it via email. Chungbuk Cheongju FC and Cheongju Kim Eye Clinic plan to form a team by the end of June and will conduct regular training and practice matches weekly starting in July in preparation for the tournament.

Chungbuk Cheongju FC began participating in the Queen Cup last year in 2023, achieving the group runner-up in their debut and advancing to the second group and winning the team league in the subsequent year, marking a remarkable finish in 8th place.

Kim Do-eun, the representative director of Cheongju Kim Eye Clinic, said, "I think it is very meaningful to participate in the 'Queen Cup' this year for the development of women's soccer with Chungbuk Cheongju FC, which represents the region. I hope that this tournament will allow women in Chungcheongbuk-do to experience the sport of soccer more closely and enjoy a healthy and happy life in their daily lives" and added, "Cheongju Kim Eye Clinic will continue to provide ongoing interest and support to contribute to the spread of women's sports culture in the region."

Kim Hyun-joo, the CEO of Chungbuk Cheongju FC, stated, "Chungbuk Cheongju FC is working to build a culture that connects the community through soccer, where various fan groups can enjoy together," and emphasized, "In particular, the 'Queen Cup' is a meaningful opportunity for women to gain confidence through sports and create a soccer culture together, so I hope that more women from the Chungbuk area will experience the joy of soccer through this tournament and take valuable steps toward growing together with the club."
