Lee Kang-in (24) of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), who is receiving interest from both Napoli and Al Nassr ahead of the summer transfer market, responded to related questions after the international match, saying, "I still don't know well myself."

After the home match against Kuwait in the third round of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA North and Central America World Cup, held at Seoul World Cup Stadium at 8 p.m. on the 10th, Lee Kang-in responded to questions related to transfer rumors, stating, “I don’t know what will happen in the future,” and added, "Even if I want to give hints, the season is not over yet, and the transfer market has not opened. I haven't talked to the club about it, and I'm in a situation where I'm also seeing the news through articles."

He then smiled and said, "I don't know where I will play next season."

Lee Kang-in is currently reported to be attracting attention from Napoli, the champions of Serie A in Italy, and Al Nassr, which is home to Cristiano Ronaldo.

In particular, Napoli is said to have made Lee Kang-in a top priority target to bolster their creative midfield. Napoli is planning to sign both Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City) and Lee Kang-in this summer.

Italian media 'Spazio Napoli' reported exclusively on the 10th (Korea time) that "Napoli has reached a principled agreement with PSG regarding the signing of Lee Kang-in." Some media outlets have reported that the agreement has progressed beyond mere interest to the stage of transfer agreement.

PSG initially wanted a transfer fee of €40 million (about 62.5 billion won), but it is understood that they accepted Napoli's offer, which ranged from €30 million (about 46.8 billion won) to €35 million (about 54.6 billion won).

Al Nassr also expressed intentions to sign Lee Kang-in as an Asian star to boost the recognition of the Saudi Arabian Professional League.

Lee Kang-in debuted in La Liga with Valencia and Mallorca, gaining recognition as a global prospect. Particularly, in the 2022-2023 season, he had a career-high season with 39 appearances, scoring 6 goals and providing 6 assists for Mallorca.

Having transferred to PSG in the summer of 2023, Lee Kang-in contributed to the team by playing various roles, including as a mezzala and a false nine, alternating between the flanks and central positions. He has also recorded 6 goals and 6 assists in 45 official matches this season.

Though he achieved a treble by winning trophies for Ligue 1, Coupe de France, and UEFA Champions League (UCL), his position has somewhat diminished as he fell behind in the competition for starting places in the second half of the season. There is a perspective that Lee Kang-in, who possesses 'influence', should transfer to a team where he can play a central role.
