'World Cup attendance champion' Brazil confirmed its qualification for the 2026 FIFA North and Central America World Cup, continuing another legend.

The FIFA World Cup official social media (account) congratulated Brazil on its qualification on the 11th (Korea time) with the phrase, 'Brazil is the only country that has participated in every FIFA World Cup finals.'

The image released alongside featured Brazilian legends representing different eras, including Vinicius Junior (25, Real Madrid), Neymar (33, Santos), Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Rivaldo, and Pele, standing side by side.

Under the leadership of coach Carlo Ancelotti, Brazil defeated Paraguay 1-0 in the 16th match of the North and Central America World Cup South American qualifying round held in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

With this victory, Brazil secured its place in the finals, ranking 3rd behind Argentina (35 points) and Ecuador (25 points), irrespective of the results of the remaining two matches. The South American qualifiers allow the top six to advance to the finals, and Brazil has extended its point lead over 7th place Venezuela (18 points) by 7 points.

Brazil, which had drawn 0-0 against Ecuador on the 6th, continued its remarkable record by winning this match, marking 23 consecutive appearances in World Cup finals from the inaugural tournament in 1930 through to 2026 without a single absence.

As the country with the most World Cup victories (5 times), Brazil has left a significant mark on soccer history since the emergence of Pele in 1958, dominating world football through stars like Romario, Ronaldo, Kaká, and Neymar.
