The soccer capital of Saudi Arabia is once again focusing on Son Heung-min (33, Tottenham). Al Hilal has taken direct action. Local reports indicate that after failing to acquire Napoli's star striker Victor Osimhen, they have set their sights on Son as an alternative target.

Football365 reported on the 10th (Korea time) that "after failing to acquire Osimhen, Al Hilal has redirected its target to Son Heung-min," and added that "Tottenham does not want Son to leave, but will not stand in his way if he wants to transfer."

Footmercato explained that "Al Hilal is also pursuing the acquisition of Bernardo Silva and has plans to build a world-class attack capable of competing in both the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League and the domestic league. Son Heung-min is classified as a key piece of this puzzle."

To The Rain and Back noted that "the possibility of Son Heung-min moving to Saudi Arabia remains open," adding comments from former Tottenham player Paul Robinson. Robinson asserted, "Son Heung-min is still a player with UCL-level experience and capabilities, and one of the best assets that Tottenham possesses," claiming that "even if the club receives a substantial offer, the value that Son possesses weighs more than money."

However, the issue of Son Heung-min's future is not simply about transfer offers. At this point, the presence of Thomas Frank, a strong candidate for Tottenham's new head coach, has emerged as a key variable. TBR Football reported that "Son Heung-min's future may be determined by the concepts of Coach Frank, who is contemplating how to reconfigure the team's core this summer."

Coach Frank is highly regarded for his stable leadership at Brentford within the Premier League, and Tottenham has effectively designated him as the next head coach. Sky Sports reported that "Brentford has no plans to refuse Frank's transfer request, but conditions must be met."

Simultaneously, Coach Frank's transfer is expected to impact the future of another player. Football London reported that "if Frank takes charge at Tottenham, there is a strong possibility he will request the acquisition of Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo. Mbeumo is currently linked with Manchester United, but the possibility of reuniting with Coach Frank cannot be ruled out."

If Coach Frank takes the helm at Tottenham, whether Son Heung-min transfers will go beyond mere financial judgments of the club and directly relate to the issues of a new tactical system and team composition.

Son Heung-min ranked second in team scoring last season, recording 11 goals and 12 assists in 46 matches and leading Tottenham to a 1-0 victory as captain in the Europa League final, marking the club's first victory in 17 years. While there seems to be no reason for the club to easily transfer Son, Tottenham is currently exposed to multi-layered variables of rebuilding, changing coaches, and preparing for European competitions.
